For this episode of the Folio Podcast I’m really excited to feature a conversation with photographer and Laguna Beach gallery owner David Tosti.

David shares with us some really insightful stories about balancing the day to day management and curation of his contemporary fine art gallery, along with his journey as a professional photographer. Perhaps what I really enjoyed most about this interview with David is learning more about his comittment to discovering and showcasing the work of emerging artists across various art mediums, and how he is infusing a unique and all new level of creative energy to the well known art community of Laguna Beach.

David has a great sense of artistic style, both in his image making and his overall approach to life. He’s passionate about photography, entrepreneurialism, community, and family. This is what makes him such a great guest for the Folio podcast. I encourage you to visit his website and view his work at www.tostistudios.com and you can follow along on his journey at his blog, www.tostistudiosblog.com

Join me n ow for an enjoyable and art-filled conversation with David Tosti.

I’m thrilled to bring you a really engaging conversation with husband and wife photographer team Me Ra and Brian of Me Ra Koh photography. This episode is a real treat for me, as I have been so deeply inspired by Me Ra and Brian over the years, both professionally and personally.

Me Ra and Brian are on a very unique and important journey and are building an international brand that is fast becoming a household name. At the core of their journey is a commitmemnt to family, community and creativity…and to say their personalities and passion are contagious, well that would be an understatement.

In this episode we touch on how Me Ra and Brian first met, how they’ve built their business (and what’s in store for the future) and how they live a lifestyle that encourages continual exploration and thoughtfulness. What I find to be one of Me Ra’s most admired traits is her authenticity and transparency, and throughout our conversation she openly shares with us the trials and tribulations they’ve encountered and overcome.

And, perhaps one of my favorite topics that we cover is their recent multi-month adventure of living and working from the jungles of Thailand with their two young children….we get into details about monkeys in the kitchen, outdoor showers, visa runs to Berma and much more. Definitely a highlight of the show.

You can view Me Ra and Brians work at www.merakoh.com, and I especially encourage you to visit Me Ra’s blog at www.merakohblog.com for an unfiltered and intriguing glimpse of their daily adventures.

I hope you enjoy this meaningful and interesting conversation with Me Ra and Brian.

It’s May 25, 2009, and you’re listening to episode 3 of the FOLIO Podcast. I’m your host Scott Anderson and for this episode we bring you a great conversation with photographer Crash Taylor. You can check out Crash and his work at http://www.crashtaylor.com. Based out of the UK, Crash is a highly acclaimed wedding and portrait photographer with a distinctive style and contagious personality. Over a rather short period of time Crash has nurtured and grown his business to become a prominent and trusted global brand. Crash is truly committed to the professional photography community and he provides a great amount of personal dedication to the advancement and education of our craft.

I first discovered Crash and his work through his inspiring interview series with a wide variety of leading photographers that he publishes online on a regular basis. As such, it was really fun to “turn the tables” on Crash and interview the interviewee for this podcast episode. Crash believes life without family, passion and photography is unforgivable. For this, and many more reasons, I hope you’ll enjoy this conversation with Crash Taylor as much as I did. Thanks for listening!
